We strive to make each and every dish a wholesome expression of our love for food, life, and living.

The Cock Hotel opened in April 2022 after an extensive refurbishment. Over the past year, managed by Simon and Louise it has has blossomed into a thriving restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating, room for families, parties and even crowds. (Yes, we do cater for private functions...just ask us!).

Absolutely gorgeous Sunday dinner here. Service was fantastic, great selection of beer on tap. Will definitely be eating here again very soon 😋👌🏻

Well. The table was booked for 10 of us for 1230hrs . We arrived around 1200hrs . Placed our order and we were told that any orders for the Steak pie would have a 30 minute waiting time as they are all cooked fresh. So 3 of us changed our minds and ordered something else. We were then kept waiting 50 minutes so we could have had Pie's??? Food finally arrived. The Fish and chips were very greasy although they tasted OK. Then my medium £23 Rib-eye steak arrived 10 minutes after everyone else. Please see photos. It was burnt on one side even though it was served cold and soaked in grease & wafer thin. I sent it back and told them not to replace it. As I had waited an hour for sub standard food. The waitress returned it to the table and said it had been removed from the bill and was only going to be put in the bin so I could have it anyway. ( Best place for it ) Garlic bread was also over cooked and as hard as nails. In my opinion it is overpriced poor food. My Father's 90th Birthday Lunch ruined.The two. Young ladies that served us. Where very polite and helpful shame the food was not as well prepared as the staff..No sign of the Management.

Nice pub with a loverly spacious dining area , atmospheric bar and spectacular barn themed out side drinking area. With a good selection of beers, ciders, ales, wines and sprits topped of with quality food it makes for a good night or even lunch. Ample parking on site if your traveling in.

First time attending this restaurant after it had been freshly refurbished, meal was booked at 3 was sat down without any waiting. Drinks order was taken very quickly but must of miss heard what I wanted as I said pint but was only given half glass. Food selection was very good and very impressed to be honest was very delicious and came out nice and hot ! Wasn’t given much gravy each time we asked for more between 4 of us adults ended up asking for it 4 times. After finishing food 1 of us ordered sticky toffee pudding for dessert to which took well over 25-30 minutes to come out but the staff came to our table twice asking us to pay the bill ? Was pretty rude & to add to it the staff were all sat down on this one table so we had to get up and ask what was happening with it so we can pay and leave. Overall very good and well presented restaurant but just a bit of disappointment in the service we received

We love the pub and it's our local and we often pop in for a pint or two. We thought we would treat ourselves to a meal on our day off so we popped in. It was a Tuesday night and not particularly busy when we arrived. The food was lovely but the service wasn't. We were first told there were no mushy peas as the chef wasn't happy to send them out, which was fine and I appreciated the honesty, then we were told there was no coleslaw for my partner's meal. My partner asked for mayo with his meal and was told they had run out!?! We could deal with that but what really irked us was the fact we waited an hour for our food. There was no apology or offer of a free drink etc. We enjoyed our food, but the service has put us off returning to eat again.
