This is very much a London family run pub, a proper pub, real London, with real people, and proper conversation, so if you love London, you have to love the Coach & Horses, it’s a walk back in time, and one of the London’s best known pubs.
All we say to you is take us as we are, because this is what we are and this how we will stay.
REALLY nice bar staff considering how central this place is. Seriously, they were joking around with us making us feel welcome the second we walked in. The pub feels like it hasn't changed in decades (in the best way) and overall is a very solid place. Would highly recommend but also selfishly don't want it to get busier, haha!
Best pub in Soho, a cosy place and a wonderful staff (and a nice selection of craft beers as well). Highly recommended! 🍻
Where else can you find outstanding craft beer in a classic boozer? Love this place and the vibe the friendly staff cultivates. Don’t get this place confused with the other coach and horses nearby. This place is the truth.
Legendary Soho watering-hole patronised by the likes of Peter Cook, The Beatles, Francis Bacon and, most famously, the columnist Jeffrey Bernard. For years renowned for having London's rudest landlord; I can report that the service is friendly these days, but the period interior remains thankfully unchanged. Owned by Fullers since 2011 who provide a great selection on keg and cask alongside a well stocked fridge. Dog-friendly too.
A first visit since soon after the limited re-opening post-pandemic. As always a treat, but no sign of the old 'joanna' - it may come back - and no plans for a trade kitchen now. It seems that the available access up and down to the upper floors is inadequate as fire escape routes, so those floors can't be used as public areas like for eating and drinking. Some lovely and well-kept beers ....
