Excellent Sunday lunch. We were looking for another dog friendly option after our walks in nearby Malham and fell across this beautiful country pub. Set in a pretty village by the Forest its curb appeal lures you and upon entering you find a well decorated restaurant and bar. We were seated straight away and could see the kitchen through a window by our table. Things looked promising from the start as I watched the chefs on the pass. The 3 beef Sunday lunch and one chicken were delicious, one of best lunches we’ve had of late. My only critique would be the horrid taxidermy fox that greats you at the entrance. Staff are warm and welcoming and their own ale brewed on site was delicious too! We will certainly be back for more :)

We have just celebrated a perfect New Year's Eve at this wonderful pub in a pretty Ribble Valley village. The Gala Dinner was absolutely amazing; such imaginative cooking and each course was a delight, both visually and to the taste buds. We then had a super night's sleep in the Rose room - the photos on the website do not do it justice - it was stunningly beautiful and tastefully furnished and decorated, followed by a delicious breakfast. The owners and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming and we can't wait to go back. Thank you all so much.

An absolute gem, nestled in the heart of a charming village. Our party of 13 had the pleasure of staying this weekend. The pub is just lovely and the rooms are simply gorgeous. Comfortable super king beds and exquisite bathrooms complete with Molton Brown toiletries and robes. The food was just delicious. We chose from the a la carte menu on the Friday and on the Saturday we were treated to the Tasting Menu, complete with accompanying wine flight. The chef took time to discuss the menu with us to ensure that our group's wide ranging dietary requirements were accommodated. The service was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt that everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. We just loved it. We will be back.

We were amazed at this pub. Stroke of luck we got in for a Sunday dinner booking late but what a treat. Great food, extremely warm welcome and their own ale brewed on site was delicious. This isn’t a cheap option for food as it’s in the higher priced spectrum but in my view worth the money. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for food in this beautiful part of the country. Worth a trip out!

We had a wonderful two night stay here midweek. Food was first class. The service was outstanding. All the staff were extremely helpful - we enjoyed the three mile walk explained in the leaflet, which could be found in the bar or in the rooms. Would recommend this country pub without reservation.
