Had a lovely meal and evening in the Clydesdale inn. We both worked Christmas so the gesture of a free meal for healthcare workers was much appreciated. All the staff were friendly and service was great.
Popped in for dinner. As the Inn had only recently reopened we had some reservations. There was no need, the food, for a mid week date night treat, was lovely, fresh ingredients and piping hot. Sadly there wasn't many people in which meant the atmosphere was a little lacking. Service was good, there was one guy front of house doing a fab job. Only criticism, the coffee, wasn't the best perhaps a better bean or more specialist training needed. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed the time spent. We will be back.
I find steps at the moment very painful, and part of the corridor was gloomy. So without good hand rails I felt vulnerable. The hand rail from street to door needs replacing. The food was tasty and good value, and waiter/bar man was efficient. The range of memu is similar to other places in Lanark. The surface of the table was scratched and in a very poor state. Why not cover it with a cloth, or paper cloth? It didn't look clean.
Food was lovely and really well presented, excellent portions as well. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and interior is fresh and cosy.
Food was absolutely tasteless. Had macaroni cheese which had no flavour whatsoever and the bits of cheese on the top was like rubber. Had " bruschetta" which was one bit of bread with chunky chopped onions and peppers on top with no dressing or garlic. The veg in the salad was diced smaller than what was on top of the bread, also had no flavour, only thing I actually tasted was the burnt bread at the sides. Wether spoons make their food in a microwave and it is still better than this place by MILES. Also quite rude staff and not very welcoming or informative. Would give 0 stars if i could
