I enjoyed a 75th birthday celebration with a party of 9. Between us, we asked for 6 different meal types and all were delivered together - excellent service. Sonia was excellent doing her duties of bar service and taking of orders. Andy, in the kitchen must be the most organised chef around. As for the 'boss', (Graham), he manages operations with perfection. Thoroughly recommend for a nice meal. Thanks to all.
I visited the Derwin with my work colleagues for our Xmas do. I and a few others had a turkey dinner. It was nice but the roast potatoes were not roasted properly, they were white and just about cooked. We had pre ordered our food so they had plenty of warning what was to be cooked. To be honest I don't know how any cook could have sent these out to a customer
We had been once before and the food was really good.So we booked a festive meal for the beginning of December for a party of 12. The starters were fine but the main meals were not very nice.The festive burgers were tough and dry.The turkey meals were better but the turkey was dry and the vegetables were either under cooked or over cooked.Going by our experience I definitely would not recommend the festive meals.
Friendly and welcoming pub. Table service from drinks and menu, staff knowledgeable to menu, minimum wait time for food to arrive to table, served and presentation was what I expected to a high standard. Food was hot on arrival and more importantly absolutely delicious.
A bit of a mixed bag. We booked Xmas Dinner here after family said they do decent food. Starters came out in random orders and nobody could remember what they had ordered as we gave details in Sept. Overall everyone was pleased with starter. When main arrived there was one consistent thing, overload of gravy. I like to control my gravy dosage, as I like to taste all items separately. The way it arrived was a bit soupy. No Yorkshire Pudding either that's savage! Dessert was quite well received, everyone ate it,most enjoyed, my cheese and crackers was OK, I had request butter though. Drinks very consistent and very well priced. Think that sums it up.
