I had a breakfast. Most of it was OK but the bacon was a bit on the thin side and I'd rather have black pudding than hash browns. Tetley tea was OK and refillable.
Didn't have my usual beef madras so got mixed grill, mash was crispy solid, steak too peppered and tough, had to send lamb chop back as was raw.
Arrived at Redcar wetherspoons with my wife and 16 year old son at about 19:40. Managed to find a table which a member of staff was just cleaning. Just about to sit down at table when the member of staff asked of the age of my son. He then explained under 18s are not allowed in pub after 8 pm even if they were eating.
Had a giggle, as to the size of the burger and few chips. About the size of double cheese burger from maccy d. The barmaid was really helpful. The serving staff really don't like their job. Understandable I think, considering some of the clientele being a nuisance and drunk. Need a bit more room between the tables.
Typical town centre Wetherspoons nice food, cheap beer and friendly staff!!! Just needed a few more staff to clean tables quicker so it looks more inviting as you come in.Outside seating area to the rear.
