Stayed 1 night on New Year night 2024 after a party close by. The door code was wrong. The room was wrong but an attendant helped me quickly. The room stunk of cigarette smoke (room 17). I was tired and drunk so I didn't complain. The room had a full wall size window with no opening. There were vertical blinds that didn't stop a security light that stayed on all night. But it was a cheap room, had a shower and toilet and the bed was OK.
Staff who dealt with me was very nice. Room was basic but I only needed a room to sleep. Radiator was blasting so room was really warm. Soon cooled down after opening window. Didn't take advantage of breakfast. But place looked very clean and tidy.
Good value for money. Has a very attentive and friendly staff. Made sure I was comfortable and arranged for me to have the best room possible. One of the staff members named Hardik was exceptionally good - made sure everything was in place and I was happy with the facilities available. He also arranged for me to have breakfast all included with the room. He is definitely a great asset to have as a staff member.
Unfortunately for the staff who were pleasant and polite the conditions are definitely very poor. I had booked a room with ensuite but it had been left in a bad state by a Council guest and I was placed in one with shared bathroom. The shower cubicle's light was not working so I was forced to have a shower with the door ajar otherwise I couldn't see anything. Luckily for everyone I didn't have to share with anyone right at that moment! The room has a wash basin with cold water. The room didn't even have a chair to sit on. The heating went off on a timer during the night so a cold awakening. I was only given a hand towel to have a shower. Reception was only part time. Very busy main road outside my window with unsuitable blinds. Cleanliness was fine though as was the breakfast across the road. I'm sorry to say that I cannot recommend it.
I recently had a regrettable experience at this hotel. The list of issues was extensive. The shower was broken, and there were no towels provided. The radiator in the room was dysfunctional, leaving me feeling cold. Despite reaching out to the reception for help, they were unresponsive and did not offer a room change. The bed sheets and pillows were worn out, and the room had an unpleasant smell. To add to the disappointment, the breakfast was subpar. The pots were empty and even the juice jar was empty. When I requested brown toast, they did not have any available. Overall, this hotel was a letdown and definitely not worth the money.
