Best pre-match pint in Dundee for both home and away (Hearts) fans. Super fast and efficient service even when packed. VERY REASONABLE PRICES as well. What's not to like
Memories of years gone by with this trip back to the Clep. Gone were the white aproned servers but the beer was just as good
Used to be my preferred watering hole when I attended the Graham Street Campus of Dundee College in the 90’s. I remember quiet afternoons and good laughs and a descent pint of Guinness. Haven't been there since and amend review if I make it back some day and things have radically changed but I doubt it will have.
Really old fashioned pub and it has its regulars that give you funny looks if you are not from the area The Lounge Bar is similar and hasn't changed since the 30s so it is like you're going in for a time warp to the 30s it's all wooden and they have only started allowing women in in the past few years and you do not see many in there but if you want to see what the a lounge looks like from the 1930s definitely visit the Clip and go into the lounge, looks like from the 1920's -30's then it is well worth a visit it is all wooden and has not changed for 75 years !but there are a strange Bunch who drink in there including my dad! haha! But the beer and especially the 80 shilling is one of the best in Dundee and the clip bar has always been known for that for doing and serving good beer and a good selection of Spirits as well, staff are friendly as well👍? And it has got a 1950s till which is just for show! But you will enjoy the drink & going back to the 1930s🤣😂
Great old school pub. Highly recommended for Aberdeen away days. Friendly staff and decent prices for drink. Full of history on the walls.
