Would have gave it more stars as the location was picture perfect. hotel was lovely and food was amazing. Staff couldn't be more helpful.
Walked here from our campsite, was a bit disappointed on arriving that the kitchen was closed but it was one of those things that can't be helped. The coffee and carrot cake we did have was delicious and the staff helpful and friendly. What also makes it is the views of the Loch and surrounding hills just stunning.
We didn't stay there but we ate there a few times during our stay at four seasons. Again a beautiful view across the Loch to watch water skiers and jet skiers as we ate our meal. Tasty and flavoursome homemade soup, 😋 lovely food choices for mains and sweets too.
I feel the people running the hotel are unreasonable. I mistakenly made a booking for the wrong night, and was charged the full price. I tried calling them (several times) to discuss the situation, but they never answered the phone. I went to the hotel two days later on the night I intended to stay to discuss in person and to ask if they would give me a discount for that night, at least enough to compensate for the breakfast and cleaning they didn't need to do on the night I didn't stay. Rhoda refused to budge on the price even a penny. I drove to Killin to stay there instead.
Spent a couple of nights at the Clachan Cottage Hotel in Lochearnhead. Stunning location next to Loch Earn and surrounded by mountains and forests. We had a decent sized "loch-view" double room which was clean and tidy, with tea/coffee making facilities and an en-suite shower room. Bed was very comfy with ample pillows. Buffet style continental breakfast which was absolutely fine with good choice of cereals, porridge pots, bagels, pastries and fruit. We ate at the hotel bar - food was fine, although I got the impression it wasn't freshly made (rather just heated up) and there wasn't a huge amount of choice, especially when it came to the specials board. It's a nice hotel enough hotel though and would recommend.
