Fantastic pub, love the food, the staff are really friendly and attentive, does get real busy so booking a table is recommended. Shout out to Ian.
The Childe of Hale offers a pleasant atmosphere with an accommodating on site car park. As you enter, the friendly staff and unique decor catch your attention. The place is clean, and the variety and quality of the food and drinks are commendable. My wife and I enjoyed our meal here and plan to return. A small note for visitors there's limited phone signal and no WiFi available. However, the food menu provides great value for money.
We have been a number of times and we LOVE the quality Steak & Ale Pie, also the Ribeye is very nice and BOTH are excellent value. The chips are really nice and fresh every time. In fact the service is phenomenal ๐ and the staff clearly work very hard. They have ensured we are now new regulars for an evening meal whenever we get chance. They are very welcoming, attentive and the Pub certainly has that old fashioned friendly vibe with traditional pub food and lovely drinks. A real credit to the staff. It also has Easy Parking, its great value and definitely worth a visit. Thanks
Nice little pub with a good warm atmosphere and elegantly decorated. Drinks are priced alright and the food is priced well. Taste wise itโs standard pub quality but portion sizes are good. Staff is also friendly.
Tuesday - First visit to this pub for lunch. Easy to park outside. Has several tables outside if you prefer alfresco! I had lunch inside which was a tuna baguette & chips. Food was fine, although side salad was a bit sparse. Lettuce and not much else. Looked like a nice pub inside and staff were spot on. Large TVs showing sport in one of the rooms - nice to know.
