Walked in on January 31st 2017 at 3:30pm the barmaid was virtually asleep on one of the sofas. Really bad attitude from her plus no lagers available such as coors or fosters and the carling ran out as I asked for a drink. First time visiting will never go again

Our first time visiting the area, we needed a place to stay over that would allow wellbehaved dogs as we were attending a christening and our dogsitter wasnt able to look after our little dog. Excellent value, the room was simple but clean with bathroom, shower, tv and coffee making facilities. The landlady Ann was cheerful and helpful especially when I had a last minute crisis just before leaving for the christening that required needle and cotton and the use of iron and ironing board.
The pub itself is full of charactor with a nice warm and friendly atmosphere and we would definitely stay here again.
