From the time I was there until now, they have improved, and showes they making an effort to improve.

Nice local pub in Warrington good selection of beers 🍻 friendly staff
It's the Rugby League Challenge Cup semi final so it was very busy and consequently service was slow too; 40 mins for a pint.
The Rodney is a great little no-fuss budget hotel for an overnight stop almost next to the station at Warrington Central. (Not to be confused with Warrington Bank Quay!) The rooms are quite large, decor is minimal but there is a kettle & tray in the room. It can be a bit noisy from the pub below but we didn’t find it to be a problem. Staff are friendly. Parking is easy to find if you need it. It served our purposes just fine.
