This place is the real deal. Old school place where you can have a beer or 5 and just talk about with the owner Mike and local folks. Lotta history here and lotta good beer and conversation. I was in Travellers Rest last Easter and visited there again late September. This visit was excellent and I managed to roll a few rounds on the bowling area. Finest folks you will ever meet at this pub. Thanks Mike and everyone see you again soon.
Amazingly authentic pub with Westwood Ales 👌🏻
Been going there for 30 years. Great landlord, really friendly locals. Excellent beer. A true British pub with an unchanged classic interior. Love it!
A remote, old-fashioned bar which is a real step back in time to the 1960s. Usually only open in the evening, it's worth a visit if your passing. The bar man was friendly enough and ale was fine, just two to choose from. The outside toilets are disappointing but don't let that put you off.
Great little survivor set in a bucolic location. Family owned, and family run, this multi room pub has been in the same family for over 120 years. Very friendly atmosphere, and the owners are most welcoming. Traditional offerings in period surroundings. No frills, but plenty to chat about. Marvel at the neat bowling green out back. Two cask ales always on. Highly recommended.
