Excellent food, warm welcome, dog friendly, tastefully decorated, fantastic wood burners to create a cosy atmosphere... Loads of good things going on here!
We went for dinner and yet again loved it, lovely atmosphere roaring log fire, very cosy. Very friendly staff, and top-notch food. Good selection of beers. Wished we lived closer. Thank you 😊
We live around the corner from the Knot, eat there regularly and feel blessed to have such a wonderful establishment on our doorstep. Staff all very friendly and well versed in good hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble for the kitchen and the locals (of which I'm one) are all chatty and easy to get good local information from. The food is special, top quality locally sourced ingredients that are prepared to perfection by a highly qualified and dedicated kitchen team. Long may they offering what they do now, go visit, it will end up on your go to again list :)
Pretty much perfect. Excellent building. Feels cosy on an autumn’s afternoon. Friendly welcoming staff. Great drink and great food. You won’t regret a visit.
We had an excellent meal here on the last night of a short break in the area. The greeting and the service throughout were very friendly. The menu is based around pub classics but with some touches that really elevate it. Between us we had the focaccia, chipolatas and crab starters/grazing bites. For mains we had the hake, katsu chicken, lamb chop and bacon chop. All was cooked perfectly and arrived in good time. We got a 20% discount off our next visit (to use within two months) and as we are leaving tomorrow and won't be in the area again until next year we're planning to go for lunch on the way home. Great food and service in beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth a visit.
