The oldest building to continuously trade as a pub in Northwich in a spectacular riverside location with an impressive garden Four rooms and a traditional pub with three of the rooms with oak beams and low ceilings. The building dates back to 1650 and still retains many original features and now includes an art gallery and is situated next door to the Salt Museum. The regular beers are from Heineken's list whilst the guest beers are invariably from local Cheshire breweries. Quiz night Tuesdays. Reopened June 2017 with new operators.
