It was a good pub to start an afternoon in Altrincham. I'm not a fan of just spending afternoons in one pub, though. We weren't here long before moving on to the food market.

Brilliant DJ. Taking requests. Pleasant staff and atmosphere. Pool table and dart board with its own room, including outdoor and indoor tvs for sports viewing. Outside seating, decent assortment of drinks on draught.

First visit to the station Hotel was on Saturday to watch the football final. Me and the boys had a great few hours, good choice of beer, all very reasonably priced which is a rare these days when drinking out. Few games of pool played and a good friendly atmosphere. Will call in next we are out Alti was for sure. Cheers.

Wow, the most unfriendliest bar person, full of attitude, who said it was his parents pub so thought that was a good enough reason to be rude. My friends and I immediately felt unwelcome, maybe it was because we were under the age of 65 🤷‍♀️ however, we liked the music (open mic night), the lady sang beautifully so we decided to ignore his clear instant dislike towards us. We weren’t a rowdy group, 5 ladies between the age of 30s-60 who were just looking for a quiet drink after having had a meal nearby. I asked for a two grey goose and coke and he said he didn’t have any left, we could see the bottle behind him..then he said he only had enough for one double? Now it’s been a while since I’ve worked behind the bar however, a double used to be the equivalent to two singles, maybe this has changed? but he obviously didn’t want us to have our drink of choice, we should have just left there and then but our friends had been served so we ordered a different drink. Throughout the 30 minutes we were there the barman continued to make us feel very uncomfortable glaring at us so we decided to leave. I’m local to the area and will definitely not be returning and will tell anyone who will listen to avoid, they’ve clearly got their regulars and are not interested in attracting new faces which is a shame really. If it’s a friendly atmosphere you want, i’d suggest a little further up the road to the Tavern on the Green where they welcome you with a smile, not a frown. In fact, go anywhere but here!
