Decent pub food. My sea bass was great, her vegetarian thai red curry not so good. Reasonable price.
Great food, nice staff, very popular with the locals. Wish the downstairs beer garden was open more often, but obviously not so much at this time of year!
Went in for lunch. Really great food but I felt the bar staff were going though the motions and waiting for their shift to end. Shame as I said the food was very good.
We had a fairly large table booked in on a Monday night, and the restaurant was fairly quiet. The service was quick, we had mains, cocktails and desserts and all were good, though perhaps slightly overpriced for the quality, but satisfying none the less. No two people at our table ordered the same dish, and all were very happy with their meals, the menu boasted a lot of classic pub options.
Was part of a large party booked in for food. Place was jumping when we first arrived and service was quick. But as the night wore on and people left the service was slow. Menu choices are varied with a specials board. Food was hot, fish and chips (£14.95) was a massive portion where as the Cajun chicken wasn't, a breast of chicken butterflied sat on top of 4 fat potato wedges with a green leaf topping and parmesan (£12.95). Coors was a lovely pint. Nicely decorated inside, outside decking area can be a hit or a miss, nice when sunny not so when it's cold. Parking on site and a good 35-40 min walk from town centre. Finally, they certainly know how to deal with large parties, card machine in hand for you to pay your order as soon as you got it.
