The Chequers is a wonderful timber-framed inn, and Wye Valley Brewery’s oldest pub, thanks to its 16th Century (possibly even earlier!) origins. With its two cosy bars, outside seating area and The Stable room available for private hire, The Chequers is a firm favourite of locals and visitors alike. You can find The Chequers in the historic town of Leominster, ‘The Town in the Marches’, where Landlords Bob and Nina offer delicious food to complement all of our ales!.
A friendly, atmospheric pub with great Wye Valley beers and a comfortable area for a smoke.
Called in for a pint of Butty Bach Reserve. Very special and tasty. All the other beers well kept. Could have stayed all night in front of the fire 🔥
Good Beer Guide listed pub, historic interior, welcoming atmosphere, inviting ambience, well kept ale and reasonably priced.
Been going here ever since I was a teenager. Great pub with loads of character. Nice outside area too. 👌
Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but if it's anything like the beer/stout that they serve, the barmaid who served us and the general feel of the place you should get an excellent meal.
