I’d avoid and head to one of the other similar places nearby. I arrived at around 11am with two kids looking for a bit of brunch after swimming. Ordered on the app fine, but our 3 small breakfasts and hot drinks. First issue was having t queue for a coffee for nearly 10 mins because one machine was out of service, and the food didn’t come for over 30 minutes. When it did arrive, the food was cold, but the plates boiling, indicating it had been sitting on the hot plate waiting to be collected for ages. Clearly the issue here is front of house. When the food arrived, we were offered a meagre and rushed ‘thanks for waiting’, and not given cutlery. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s a Spoons and I don’t expect anything above the most basic service, but this was poor. A number of other recent reviews have said the same thing, so clearly the place is long-term, if not permanently, understaffed.
Visited this pub with my family today and we waited over 40 minutes for our food and when it arrived one of the burgers was burnt and missing the bacon. We sat near to the kitchen serving area I noticed food sat on the server for a good 10/15 minutes before plates were completed to be sent to tables. I noticed and could hear a female member of staff (I presume a manager as she was dressed differently to the others) shouting at staff in an unfriendly manner. When our food arrived it looked like the child’s jacket potato had fallen out with the large plate it was on and the few beans barely made it a meal! The only meal that looked half decent was the children’s nuggets and chips!!! The ultimate burger was the one that was like burnt cardboard thrown on a plate as if the person preparing it didn’t care, how whoever served that thought it was presentable needs to be retrained on how good should be served, in no way was it fit for human consumption! It was also missing the bacon that should have been on it. I highlighted it as quickly as I could to a male member of staff who was very apologetic and said they would sort another burger for me. I could not fault this male member of staff as he was very understanding and sorted the issue straight away however it should never have come to a customer in that condition.
Truly a 5 Star pub! Good prices Clean Spacious but can also hold a lot of groups of friends in their own spaces, while having the choice to mingle with other strangers/groups if they want. The best setup in my opinion.
had large breakfast, had 1 mushroom on the plate just slightly bigger than a 50p piece.... for god sakes weatherspoons just take mushrooms off the menu if you are just put 1 on a plate... just well council.
This is a great weatherspoons. Staff polite and the bathrooms clean. Tables are cleaned straight away. There are staff greeting you on door. Decor really eye-catching. Lovely tasting family meal. Ordered via app and within minutes drinks brought to table 👍🍴
