We had a lovely family dinner, the atmosphere of dining area had a warm and friendly gastro pub vibe, and all the service from the team was fantastic. The most exceptional part of our evening was the food. We were presented with a deliciously innovative menu, as well as a separate specials board. All of the food we had was delicious, but the highlights were the lamb tikka Scotch egg with a Masala sauce, the duo of pork lion/belly, and the bead and butter pudding. My partner and I have eaten at some of the best gastro pubs and restaurants in London, the food here more than stands up with any of them. We will definitely come again whenever we’re in the area visiting family.
September 2023 update: yep, still top class 🤩 April 2023 update: still top class food! The specials board was amazing tonight (Chilli Beef starter - hmmm 🤩) 🎉 It was my second visit here in the last two weeks, and I can safely say it's my favourite place 💯 to eat in this neck of the woods. The service is top notch, friendly and welcoming. The food is great, tasty, and at a very reasonable price. Tonight I had a diet coke, white coffee ☕ veggie lasagne and a side of seasonal veggies for just over £22, absolutely hit the spot after a long day at work! Pukka 🤩 Good access in and out of the pub, plenty of seating, nice and warm 🔥 and a great ambience within. Lovely place and the food was outstanding. I had the chick, ham and leek pie and although when it appeared it looked on the small side, the taste was amazing and it was really filling. Veg was excellent too. Drinks were good. Staff were very good, however, they did lose our initial order do we had to reorder but it came very quickly and they took our initial drinks order off the bill. Great customer service in my book. A lovely evening and we will definitely go again.
New local ish pub, been few times now, staff are lovely and food is just ace, maybe need a few more summer option's.
Had a lovely lunch of vegetarian lasagne and fish and chips. Huge portion of fish which was delicious. Two pots of tea. Good, friendly and quick table service. We arrived early on a Friday at about 12.15 without having booked and there were plenty of options for tables to sit at. I forgot the receipt for this one but it totalled around £35.
