Great pub. Lovely food. Not the cheapest prices but great quality and worth every penny. Dog friendly and lovely atmosphere.
Celebrated my mother-in-laws 70th birthday with friends and family and enjoyed the best pork roast I can honestly say I have ever had!
Beautiful quiet setting, staff so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Couple of minor niggles with the room which were sorted quickly and with no fuss. Garden with pond setting Beautiful. Paid for half board for one night to celebrate our 33rd anniversary and not disappointed. Food from the al lacarte menu exceptional, cod loin lush, Barbaray duck demolished and wine list and bar prices not expensive. Lovely stay, thank you
Delicious! Was surprised (in a good way) at how good it was and would highly recommend! The only one that was slightly disappointing was the mushroom and Gorgonzola starter as it was extremely peppery and quite expensive for what it was. But there’s no fault for anything else we got as huge portions and very tasty. Staff were very nice and food came promptly and was beautifully presented too. Can’t wait to come back again!
It’s a nice comfy inn at a small town (Smarden) near Headcorn in Kent. Food is good but unfortunately not served every night - just Wednesday to Saturday night. The hosts are responsive if there’s an issue (my bathroom had a leak when I was there). Overall a pleasant place to stay.
