The Central Bar is a spacious one-roomed Victorian style bar filled mainly with locals during the day. The windows are adorned with old black and white photos of Edinburgh and Leith while the interior has an amazing array of tiles and pastel plasterwork. In the evenings and at weekends it is transformed into a busy and popular live music venue.
A Leith Institution that probably many tourists will never set foot in because its not one of them fancy new bars that have been springing up and down Leith Walk. Well they are missing out. You can spend a good couple of hours in there sipping the cheap doubles, admiring the Edwardian decor. Do a bit of people watching and listen to the Leith banter. Everyone is exceptionally freindly ( might be that they are all half cut) and on the weekends it can be quite raucous with the Karaoke.
Typical leith pub, jukebox is full of old records, staff are friendly and it's a good pint at a reasonable price, no food though
Just a fantastic bar with respectable prices. Always has been to be honest.
Good old fashioned pub in an old train station with a lot of original decor. Drinks are really cheap and all the staff were really friendly, especially Julie.
this place is BRILLIANT! do yourself a favor and go to the sunday night karaoke with all the old locals. like, seriously!
