About us

The hotel is fully licensed and has two bars, large conservatory, decking area and garden.

The Cruban Public Bar (Gaelic for brown crab) is the social 'hub' of the village, with Sky TV., pool table, darts board, board games and log burning stove.

The hotel lounge bar, which serves the spacious conservatory, large deck and established garden, offers relaxed and cosy surroundings, with leather sofas and solid oak flooring.

Both bars offer draught and bottled beers, local ales, a wide selection of spirits and malt whiskies, wines by the glass and morning/afternoon teas and coffees with home baking.

Take-out meals are always available and may be chosen from the full menu.

Brilliant (Sgionneil) The pros for the Carradale Hotel are: Great location for island ferries (we went to Islay and Arran), we loved the “extras” in the rooms (The fruit teas, hot chocolates and the Tunnock’s Caramel bars.), the rooms were clean, Rhona and Cara were really personable (asking us how did we sleep, how are we feeling, what are we doing, etc.) and they were very accommodating to one of our guests (who has coeliac disease – i.e. gluten free) making sure that there was at least one thing that they could eat on the breakfast and evening menus. The cons for the Carradale Hotel, would be the main road to get there is a 16 mile long single track road with passing places (it was nerve wracking the first time or so getting there but better after that), there was no WiFi but there was a very good 4G signal (okay for us but if you need WiFi...) and, when we staying there, the car park was shut because of an issue with Scottish water and the car park (we personally feel, looking back) could of done with signage. Overall, we would go back there. Rhona and Cara could of not of been any better hosts and we really enjoyed our time there. Happily recommend (yes even with the road and the car parking issues we had) and cannot wait to book there for our next Scottish holiday in a few years time. 4/4.5 stars

Fantastic stay. Great service. Food was absolutely fantastic! Also great choice of beer, not just Tennants and Belhaven. Looking forward to coming back this time with our dog Geoff!

Great family run friendly hotel, food was excellent and rooms very comfortable and clean. The bonus was the beautiful view of Arran from bedroom window. 👍🏻👍🏻

Casual, quiet clean and friendly hotel But the food... 10 years in hotels across the country, honestly never find anything like this. Breakfast and dinner outstanding!
