The Carpenters Arms is a beautiful low beamed traditional family pub-restaurant.
We offer a very reasonably priced menu, with good helpings, teamed with a varied wine list and real ales. You can be assured of a warm welcome and a great dining experience every time. We stock a full range of drinks, two regular ales with 2 guest cask ales changing regularly, such as Thwaites Wainwright, Adnams and Spitfire. We are featured in CAMRA’s ‘Good Beer Guide 2016.’ Lagers include Fosters and Kronenbourg 1664. We also have a comprehensive wine, spirit and soft drink list. The Carpenters Arms is full of character situated in the heart of Harlington, a picturesque village in Bedfordshire. We are located within easy reach of Bedford, Luton, Barton and other surrounding villages. The railway station and occasional bus service along with a range of country walks make this a popular stop-off. Terry Payne, the current landlord is a local man who has always lived in the village. The pub is open every day from 12pm for coffee, lunch, drinks and dinner. His Pub offers a friendly and cosy atmosphere with open fires in the winter months and a large garden in the summer months. Families and dogs are very welcome. We take immense pride in serving the finest produce we can find which is freshly prepared by our chefs. Whether you pop in for a pint, a business lunch or a special dinner, we promise you a friendly welcome. Terry and his staff aim to create a memorable dining experience in a warm and friendly environment delivered with professional service.

Staying for only one night locally we went for an evening dinner very nice atmosphere and food was excellent hosts very pleasant and friendly made for a good evening. Highly recommend
Lovely little pub Easily accessible of M1, just a couple of minutes detour each way Popped in on way back from London and were 5 minutes before food was being stopped serving for the day but we were still kindly offered a menu. We both ordered House burger and it was tasty and delicious, very juicy 😋 👌 Toilets are on ground floor and plenty of seating If passing by, will definitely pop in again 🥰
Really good meal and well kept beers in this local pub. The varied menu is interesting and caters for vegetarians as well as meat lovers. All our meals were excellent. Welcoming atmosphere with 2 open fires and original beams. Children and dogs welcome.
Well that was delicious! Such lovely people and everything was just brilliant :-). Just mentioned by email that we were coming with a pram and a high chair was already waiting. Scrummy roast beef and a great selection of dessert board classics. Went for a birthday meal and would definitely come again. Thanks!
