Dropped in for a meal and drink on a Sunday evening and were really impressed. Bar staff were friendly and helpful, and the food (it had to be haggis, neeps and tatties) was excellent. We wanted to try a couple of very different whiskies and the barman brought two personal favourites which were top notch. Overall a really good experience and I’d happily recommend it if you’re looking for a bit of genuine hospitality.
The perfect place to eat following a tour of Edinburgh! Fish and chips (lovely light crispy batter) plus a Scottish coffee, the perfect tonic! Super friendly staff too, highly recommended
Absolutely gorgeous decor, I’m obsessed with the lights and velvet wallpaper, flipping good bangers and mash, massive portions and luxurious plating, just the fried mars bar tasted like it was fried in an oil used for something else too and that’s not ideal. But lovely characters of staff and a perfect ending to our Edinburgh stay 👌🏻
Good food... Fish and chips hit the spot and so did the pint of beer. Table service was slow. Had to wave for attention a few times. Place seemed to be very busy and packed given it was only a weekday at 630pm.
A fun place to eat with a large selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The food was fantastic. We had the fish and chips with the homemade tartar sauce. Very good.
