We just had a lovely Sunday roast here, food was tasty, well cooked and plentiful. Service was fantastic and enjoyable talking with the team. Very dog friendly, our lucky boy had a nice lamb bone too! I also suffer with a bad back and was delighted to have a comfortable seat. Lovely ambiance - 100% all round. Thank you.
On our journey back from Cornwall to Essex on 29 Dec, we found this pub on Google for our lunch. Basically a good pub and food was good, but could be made so much better! It was quite cold in there so kept our coats on.🥶 The large fireplace was in need of a good clean up if it was going to be used, which it clearly wasn't. There was a lovely layer of dust on an unused table. Ladies toilet was in need of a good clean, bin was overflowing and clearly hadn't been emptied for a while.🤦♀️ Lots of interesting stuff on the walls of the passageway, but couldn't read them as it was too dark. Definitely room for improvement at this lovely pub.
Lovely old proper pub, with fireplaces and wood burners. Lots of interesting historical information about the area adorn the walls. The menu was varied and reasonably priced, and the food was delicious. The landlord was very welcoming, as was his beautiful dog! We will definitely return for a visit....not just for the food and welcoming atmosphere...but also to see the dog again 😁
We had a very enjoyable evening at The Camelot, 2 pensioner couples. We had a very warm and friendly welcome and seated quickly. We were not rushed to order which was nice as we hadn't seen our friends for 3 years. The service was excellent as was the food, all the meals were well prepared and presented. It was a limited but very nice menu. The only gripe is that it was not terribly warm in the room. Thank you. Recommended.
Fabulous little find, stumbled by on a very busy Friday night while on my travels. Bustling to the seams with locals after a hot July's day, it's a traditional village pub with a great atmosphere. Lovely welcoming staff and the best fish and chips I've had in a long time, and despite being told I might have to wait due to how busy they were, it arrived in no time. Dog friendly, with lovely local walks and Cadbury castle on its doorstep.
