Why would you spend you hard earned cash somewhere that you're looked at like you are something the landlady has stepped in? I have never been experienced such rudeness. If you despise humanity, don't go into the hospitality industry - it really is that simple.
The food is mediocre, the prices are not. The dining area is cramped with the entrance to the lady's toilet right in the middle, the main pub is for the "clique" only.
I mean, if you have the choice where to spend your hard earned cash for some relaxation, its NOT going to be somewhere with the warmth of an iceberg. Utterly terrible

This is a big pub, and clearly makes a lot of its cash from food, but the way it's layer out it doesn't feel like a cavernous shed. The beer selection is a bit samey, but not many pubs have 9 cask ales on at once so there bound to be something quaffable on

A great find in Cambridge city - just on the edge away from the touristy bits but full of character. Always a great atmosphere - lively meeting place with many nooks and crannies as well as a great courtyard. Food is fantastic - exciting, different and very tasty. Love it!

Running for six weeks, from 11th September until 22nd October we are celebrating beer with the National Beer Showcase 2017.
We will feature up to 28 new beers from Britain’s best breweries with events including guest talks, workshops and tastings.
Nicholson’s Cask Masters have created six ‘District Beers’ from the UK’s best breweries, including Hop Stuff Brewery, London Brewing Co. and West Berkshire Brewery.
You can also pick up their complimentary "There’s A Beer For That" guidebook to learn more about the ‘District Beers’, which include Mjango Unchained, Rye the Hell Not and Ryeders of the Lost Cask.
Also available to the showcase will be the oaked pale ale, Two Bays – a collaborative beer from award-winning breweries Adnams and Cigar City Brewing. Brit pop fans will get to sample a beer created by Yorkshire band Shed Seven and Rudgate Brewery, exclusively available through us from 1st October. Joining the Beer Showcase from 8th October will be our own brand Porter, back by popular demand after a three-year hiatus.
