A community pub with two bars, one a traditional bar with rustic beams, the other a modern sports bar with pool, darts and plasma screens for all sporting occasions. The large garden with children's play area is popular in summer. A heated covered smoking area caters for the smokers. Good home cooked food is popular at lunchtimes.
Overall only 3 stars as had to push between a pram and a buggy to get to the bar in the pool room. Otherwise very good
I do like this cozy little pub I especially like the beer fadden down the side
Was visiting for the Eynesbury Rovers game and had a while to wait for the train so called in to watch some of the England match. I was a bit dubious as it looks like a locals pub in amongst the houses etc. So glad I went in, very friendly customers, service with a smile and an all round nice pub in terms of feel, atmosphere, decor and layout. If Iām in the area again I will definitely pay another visit š
One (amber) ale on tap and no other bottled ales. No bitter or Newcastle Brown or anything else. Atmosphere was okay and service was okay. Lots of TV screens showing sports. Probably a great pub for lager drinking football fans
Great to get back among friends in a proper family friendly local. Clean, safe and with a spacious garden. Even better is it's only walking distance from home!
