Fantastic pub with delicious food, super friendly, welcoming staff and a wonderful atmosphere! There must be a reason I keep coming back and I put it down to the fact I always leave with a full belly, feeling totally looked after with a giant grin on my face. Wholeheartedly recommend, go get yourself a banging roast and sit by the fire!
I don’t know why I’ve bothered coming back to this pub so many times. It continuously disappoints. You wait a life time for any food. Have to remind waitresses that your still waiting or even better being told they need the table back before even serving the pathetic ‘roast’. After telling the waitress we had been waiting for 2 hours, she said she would go check. Didn’t bother to come back and let us know until I asked as she walked by ‘so?…how much longer?’ she then decided to give a response. As a person who works in hospitality it helps to communicate with customers especially if they have spent money and are hungry! Burnt nut roast and small position for the price. Even a significant size difference better mine and my partners roast… embarrassing to take that to a table. Bring back The days of the reggae roasts, happier people and nicer vibe but unfortunately another good pub lost to gentrification
Very very good veggie options for a Sunday lunch. We didn't book, but I would recommend as they had to squeeze us in (which they did and were very good about doing). Lovely beer to choose from, huge outdoor space and they do a brilliant pub quiz!

I used to be a regular customer at your establishment, primarily because the food quality was excellent. However, my recent experience suggests that the quality has significantly declined. Despite waiting for over an hour and a half for our food, we were extremely disappointed with our meals. I ordered fish and chips, and my friend opted for sausage and mash—two dishes that I would have never thought could be poorly executed. To my dismay, the fish and chips were the worst I've ever had. Contrary to the menu description of "chunky chips," what we received were essentially uncooked potato wedges. Additionally, the fish lacked crunch and was oddly over-seasoned with pepper. As for the sausage and mash, the situation was equally disheartening; the sausages were undercooked, and the mash was both watery, undercooked and incredibly over seasoned with pepper. Furthermore, the service was far from satisfactory. Our table was not cleared for three hours after we finished eating. When I voiced my complaints to the waitress, she seemed unwilling to take our half-eaten food back to the kitchen or even remove it from our table. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as the level of food quality and service have taken a considerable dip from what I had come to expect from your restaurant.
