16 beers available on keg and 2 on traditional English beer-engine cask dispense. All the beers on draft are cared for by our brewery and cellar staff to ensure they are in the best possible condition for you to enjoy them, here in our home.
LOCATED ON GEORGE STREET IN THE TOWN CENTRE, DIRECTLY BEHIND THE 5-STAR CRESCENT HOTEL. BUXTON BREWERY TAP HOUSE AND BUXTON BREWERY CELLAR BAR ARE OPEN 7 DAYS FROM 12 UNTIL LATE. THESE VENUES ARE DRINKS-LED, SERVING A WIDE RANGE OF OUR BEERS ON CASK AND KEG, AS WELL AS CIDER, WINE, SPIRITS AND SOFT DRINKS FOR THE NON-BEER DRINKERS. WE ALSO HAVE OUR CANS AND BOTTLES AVAILABLE TO DRINK IN OR TAKE AWAY. FOR FOOD WE HAVE RECENTLY REOPENED OUR KITCHEN SERVING A SELECTION OF SMALL PLATES, SANDWICHES AND BURGERS.

What can I say, we were absolutely amazed by this place. Excellent service and great choice of local beers. We only came for a drink but decided to stay for food on our first evening in Buxton. And we were so pleasantly surprised. We probably didn't expect much, just the normal pub food, but it is so much better than that. The food was amazing. They have tapas style small plates of Mediterranean inspired food and it was delicious and cooked and presented to perfection at such a reasonable price. Many more high end restaurants could take some note here. Good, honest food at an affordable price. No wonder the place was rammed and everyone was eating. No surprise at all. Their chef is clearly a professional. These kind of places are rare. We stayed a lot longer than initially planned and tried a few of their fantastic beers in a lovely atmosphere. They also have live music some nights. We will come again!
Nestled in the shadow of the Buxton Opera House and Pavillion Gardens lies the Buxton Brewery Tap House. It was quiet at the time of visiting. However, things soon picked up as the afternoon went on. There are 18 taps of beer on both cask and keg. Plus cans available to drink in the bar. Plus a couple of ciders too. These are mostly from Buxton direct. The staff were brilliant! I didn't catch the person's name. But, she was very friendly and happy to talk about beer (we were there from 12:30 to 3:00 pm if that helps?) The atmosphere was really good it had a very good vibe about it and the music in the background was just as good. We couldn't try the food as it's only served from Wednesday onwards. If you're visiting Buxton then I'd highly recommend visiting for great beers, staff and atmosphere.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon and had a really lovely time, its a really nice and relax bar, with a great selection of beers. There are also some drink options for those who don't like beers, but beer is definitely the main event! I recommend the king slayer, really lovely full flavoured beer. Prices were fair for what you get.
One of the best places we visited in Buxton, the staff were great and the atmosphere was perfect for our Sunday post-walk drink. They ran out of Aperol which was a shame because we got a taste for it after the first spritz, but the music and games available made for a really pleasant experience. Nice snacks (of which we had many), and the massive windows let in loads of light so the place was flooded with evening sun.
