First, starting off the pub is located in a lovely setting just a way from the sea but still in view. The pub is a traditional pub and has a lovely setting for the location. The restaurant part of the pub has been extended and has a lovely contrast that take you from the pub into the seating area with a barn like feel. Our food was lovely and there were no problems with it at all. The burger was stupendous and the steak was devoured within minutes by each member of the party. The deserts were much enjoyed by all. We would highly recommend anyone to come and eat or even have a pint here. It was lovely and if we were ever down near again we would definitely come for a visit again.
Proper old pub with decent pub food and dog friendly throughout. We booked a table for dinner (food started at 1730 on Saturday) and I recommend booking as it seemed very busy. The food was typical pub grub, nice tasty food, portions not massive though. The puddings were really good with the crumble being perfect. Also there were great options in the kids menu. As you would expect there was a good selection of ales and ciders, all well kept. Highly recommended if you are in the area especially with it's great views.
Stayed here for a night whilst hiking the coast path. Staff were absolutely amazing and the food was great. The rooms were pretty good, my girlfriend loved the mattress but I wasn’t a massive fan hence the 4 stars (memory foam I think) but would definitely recommend to any hikers walking past, even for a pint or some grub
We had 2 meals here whilst on holiday. Super food, great views in the restaurant and a cosy, dog-friendly bar area. Welcoming service and good beer.
Great traditional pub! We (two families, 10 people) got there 15 minutes before the kitchen closed, they accommodated us including our gluten free needs. Superb burger, crispy fish & chips, tasty fried scampi, terrific sticky toffee pudding. Food, service, location, everything very good. Thank you for your friendly welcoming.
