About us

Bring the grandparents and the kids to The Burnt Stump in Nottingham, a traditional red-brick real ale pub on the edge of Sherwood Forest. Set within the beautiful Burnt Stump Country Park, we have a big beer garden and a BBQ on the patio for those lazy Summer afternoons. There’s plenty of parking and lots of space for the kids to run around. Bring family and friends for a few drinks and big plates of pub grub.

Come on down and say hello, we look forward to seeing you soon!.

The whole experience was great! I brought my 7month old puppy along after having walked around the grounds for a few hours and we were seated in the dog friendly area which was great! Everyone was friendly and they even had the choice for doggy menus! Not to mention a selection of free treats. The food was great and my turkey was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be coming back for the food and a walk around on the grounds with my little pup again.

The visit was seamless. We booked a table online which was very easy. We were served quickly and the food did not take long to come out at all. The food was hot and well cooked, we were happy with both meals. We then had a pudding which was also very nice. Overall a nice experience and would recommend.

Me and my family came for the Friends quiz a few weeks ago, it was a great atmosphere, we had a great night, the food was amazing and great value, the service was very quick and the themed quiz was brilliant. The menu has a wide range of choices, I couldn’t decide what to have! I noticed they also have food deals throughout the week which are very good value. The staff couldn’t do enough for us the whole time we were there. We also have a family member with an allergy and they were very well taken care of which was fab. There’s plenty of parking spaces, and the huge country park surrounding it to go for a long walk or take the dogs for a run. They are very dog friendly, they make a huge fuss of all the dogs and they can go anywhere in the restaurant, which not many places allow. There’s a special doggy station with treats and blankets. They also get involved and support great causes! Brilliant. Definitely worth a visit. You won’t be disappointed!

I took the kids to the burnt stump for a low costing dinner. I ordered the food at the bar, and it came out quite quickly. I thought the food was excellent for the price, the chips are some of the best you will get anywhere. My steak was a little bit over cooked, but I don't mind, my 14 year daughter wasn't happy with hers, though. The ice cream sundae's here are worth a visit alone.

My little dog and I visited here for the first time together. My dog Sienna had turned 10yrs old and I was wanting to take her out for a special treat. I had seen on Facebook that this restaurant allowed dogs inside the dining area! So we packed her little bed and made our way to the Burntstump Inn. Sienna loved the welcome and fuss she got from the staff, and I was pleased to have a good selection to pick for her off a doggy menu!! We put her dog bed on the floor by my table and she happily settled down and waited for her food to arrive. Thanks to the Burntstump Inn I was able to treat my girl to an experience I know she enjoyed, it means a lot to me that I was able to do this with her.
