Fabulous country inn, filled with locals and travellers. Great hosts and great food. Try their steak Wednesdays and Friday Italian themed menus....you will definitely not be disappointed. Highly recommend
Lovely pub on the main road from Shrewsbury to Ellesmere with an Italian chef. We went for a lunchtime birthday celebration. They arranged birthday balloons & banner. Delicious food with a wide choice. We will definitely try their themed nights. Not sure which one first, the Italian or steak?
Had a lovely lunch here today. Food was excellent, they obviously have a very experienced chef. Service was friendly and efficient and they produce an excellent chocolate fudge cake and and espresso to follow. If you've not yet paid them a visit you're missing out :)
On behalf of my parents - they really enjoyed their stay here! The breakfast was amazing, was a lovely atmosphere in the pub too. The rooms were clean, but do need updating (which they were told is in the pipeline). The staff were all friendly + welcoming - especially the owners, nothing was too much trouble. Overall, they had a lovely break for their first visit here, so it certainly won't be their last. Mr + Mrs Fothergill
Mixed review for this one. Lovely pub. The room’s certainty weren’t as luxurious as advertised and not like the pictures. It was dated compared to the pictures. Decent, large room and comfy bed. Unfortunately, the toilet didn’t work properly and there was a red alarm light that lit up the room (not quite as bad as the pic though). I know the room problems are brewery issues, not management issues and it’s a shame it reflects on management and loses them money in the longer run. We were the only people eating dinner, which may be why the food wasn’t good at all. Breakfast was great though. Staff were fantastic…Justin, Debbie & Rosie especially were brilliant.
