About us

Tables are provided in every area of the old Inn, enabling people to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of a traditional old English tavern.
A unique and well-known meeting point at the very heart of the historic village of Little Walsingham, we are in the Common Place and form part of its range of 15th and 16th century buildings.
About 30 seconds walk from the Anglican Shrine and no more than 2 or 3 minutes from the Catholic Shrine’s Pilgrim Bureau, we extend a friendly welcome to locals, pilgrims, tourists and business people and trust that a vist to the Bull Inn further enhances all that Little Walsingham has to offer. Why not take a visit?.

Went for lunch on the way to the shrine. Its a lovely spot in the square in Walsingham. We sat outside, and it was all rather lovely. We ordered sausages and mash with gravy. Given the eye watering expense, we were expecting something special. The sausages were good but the mash was tasteless and gluey. And a bit grey. The gravy had those bits in which suggests it came from granules. The green vegetables seemed to have been rewarmed. The ale was OK as was the draught cider.

It was a bed. The service was great. The breakfast was... fine? The room wasn't disgusting but could have been cleaner. Staff were all amazing and so kind. The dining room felt permanently sticky, flies everywhere

A brilliant traditional pub set within a quiet village in Norfolk that we return to year on year on holiday. The landlady and staff were all very helpful and attentive and I highly recommend this place as a friendly pub and great place to eat. Dog friendly and family friendly too. Just superb!

The room was very small, drab and ‘tired’. Bathroom sadly felt unclean and in need of refurbishment. Shower door was broken. Plug to sink had a snapped chain and was detached from sink. Key to room door was dodgy and difficult to use. The plumbing is extremely noisy and disturbing. There was a lack of usable electrical plugs in the room. We had to unplug the T V and bedside lights to charge equipment overnight. The whole bedroom needs rewiring replumbing and furnishing. Not good value for money at £90 a night. But the worst problem was the lack of staff after 10pm. We almost had to sleep in the car as the door to the accommodation block was completely jammed and stuck. After 15 mins (11pm) we stopped a passerby who finally managed to force the door open. He was a local who said it was a regular problem for guests returning after the pub was shut. If I had been on my own, I would have been quite frightened as the village was very quiet and dark. I was in the street trying to knock on doors to get help and no one was answering. The pub was in darkness. The Staff were young and generally disinterested - not great for a business based on customer service….. Breakfast was only redeeming feature sadly.

AVOID! Unfriendly and unpleasant manager. Booked for 18 people to have dinner, but had 19 in the end, so he said I couldn't eat. Then told my son couldn't eat because he was with me, despite him having already (pre)ordered his food! They did give him his pizza in the end, but it was rubbery and definitely not as advertised (freshly made, hand-stretched stone-baked pizza). When asked they let slip it wasn't made by them, "that's how we get them come into us" (which was obvious from the puffy, pale pasty, totally uniform shape and which certainly hadn't been cooked on a stone - more like frozen, in a packet and microwaved). Disgusting. The waitress apologised and took it away but the manager had my card details and said he was taking payment for it anyway. Was brought fish and chips which we thought we'd share but the fish was raw! Obviously frozen as the batter was over-cooked still. We ended up driving elsewhere to eat. Horrible experience. Later told by local resident that it hasn't been any good for a while and they avoid it, as should others. Luckily a new pub is opening in the village. Edit: Thank you for the reply. I don't seem able to reply to it, so I'll add further comments here instead. Thank you for investigating, and sorry I was told the person I was speaking to on the evening was the manager. I phoned after the event, two or three times, to speak to the manager before I wrote a review as I thought this only fair, but was told I couldn't speak to him, but that they would pass the message on for him and that he would call me back. I never received any call or e-mail though and it's been over a week.
