Stopped here for Saturday lunch. Friends service, excellent, well-kept beer. We both had fish and chips. It was delicious and great value. We'll be coming here again.
Food very good value. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Good selection of beers. Easy parking. Atmosphere lacking but this was probably because we were early evening, it started to fill up as we were leaving
Lovely country pub recently taken over by new landlord/lady. Had Christmas Festive meal on weekday evening. Food, atmosphere and service were all excellent. Well worth a visit.
I shall start by saying a huge welcome to the new management who have recently arrived and are going to do their utmost to turn it around because it is long overdue and I think The Bull will be in a much better position now with the new management taking the reigns because the staff that are no longer there were an absolute disgrace towards their profession and the way they treated customers. The new management have quite honestly done the right thing and that is the truth by removing them and when I go there with my family now, I'm fairly confident the atmosphere will be considerably better.
Pool table is very welcome [it costs £1.50] but needs a regular vaccuum clean. The heating was on; lovely jubly. Pleasantly ordinary place, free of snobbery or poshness. Good Guinness at reasonable price. [£5.40 at time of writing]. Good layout indoors plus decent car park and sizeable garden.
