About us

Although we are only a small pub we can promise you a big welcome, being a regular entry in the "CAMRA, Good Beer Guide" we can promise you some outstanding real ales in the pub, and if you're lucky enough to be in the area at the right time we hold two of the biggest beer festivals in the area. Just keep an eye on this website for upcoming dates!

We also serve food lunchtimes and evening, from Homemade Soups to Seasonal Game, and we are infamous for our Aberdeen Angus Stack Burgers. It's always advisable to book, especially for Sunday Lunch (Please note no food is served on Sunday evenings).

Unfortunately at the moment we do not have any rooms to let, but plans are in hand for the future. We will however happily recommend somewhere that you can stay in the surrounding area.

We are dog, muddy boot and children friendly. During the summer months you can sit in either of our two gardens and in the winter you may relax by the open fire.

The area is serviced by the 300 bus route from High Wycombe or Aylesbury, the route also has many other fantastic pubs and villages along the way.

So grab your walking boots or your mountain bikes and enjoy the area, if you're not feeling so energetic just bring your Mum and Dad out for the day, we'll be here to provide the much needed refreshments!

We look forward to meeting you soon.

We went for a birthday Sunday Roast as a family with a 6yo and 1yo and it was fantastic. The staff are all super friendly and excellent at their work, with quick service even while every table was full. The food was incredible, kids mac & cheese went down a treat and our roast beef was lush, blushing and generous portions. The atmosphere was lovely, buzzing and welcoming. Highly recommend.

We needed some food after a 6 mile walk around the woods in Walters Ash so decided to give The Wheel a go. We had a warm welcome before being seated. The food was really good and great value. Will be coming back again for sure.

We stayed at the Wheel overnight whilst at a local event. We can't fault any aspect of it! Amazing place! We had pre-booked a space for our small van camper and we turned up to a reserved space, they offered us electric too if needed, we had access to the toilets overnight that were cleaned before the pub shut so they were immaculate. The staff were so friendly, we had a tab at the bar for our drinks and food, with the prices surprisingly cheap. The food we ordered was good, good portion size, and very quick arriving. There was a great atmosphere in the pub (the Rugby WC was on) but the pub was quiet when we went to bed. We thought this pub was faultless, full starts on everything from us. Thanks for letting us stay! S&B.

Local community pub. Lovely outdoor seating area, great food and allowed me to park overnight. Britstop location just north of M40 and High Wycombe in the Chilterns. Perfect for an unplanned overnight with a pint or 2 of cider for good measure.
