TRADITIONAL LOCAL COMMUNITY PUB
The Pheasant can be found on the road leading out of Chesham towards Latimer and Chenies villages, on the verge of open countryside yet not too far from town amenities. The garden boasts an idyllic setting on the River Chess, overlooking The Moor and the Chess Valley Walk which goes from Chesham to Rickmansworth through the Chiltern countryside.
We are a fairly small pub with a large garden; on a nice summer's day if it suddenly rains we are seriously challenged by the number of people enjoying the garden who seek shelter indoors so there is now a large covered area on the patio which will also be very useful during the winter months.
We have fixed screens around the bar and automatic wall-mounted sanitizers strategically placed for everyone's protection; these will remain in place until the virus is well and truly under control. Please do not visit the pub if you think you may be infectious - as a business we may have to close if staff become infected which affects all of us. Just because legal restrictions have ceased doesn't mean the virus has disappeared!
I took on The Pheasant in March 1996, and after struggling with an erratic demand for food decided to concentrate on the local community trade by inviting customers to bring their own food instead. There are numerous take-aways locally, most of whom now offer a delivery service, or just bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden.
On draught we currently have Carlsberg, Birra Moretti, Inchs cider, Guinness, Stan's Big Apple, Doom Bar and a Guest Ale.

Great friendly local pub. Does not serve food, but you can bring your own or order delivery. Fantastic beer garden and marquee for those less sunny days. Excellent gin selection.
The pub is spacious and has a lovely outdoor just by the river. It also has a children's outdoor play area making it ideal for family or as wonderful pitstop on a chess valley walk

Friendly old style pub situated on the edge of Chesham by the water complete with pool table and dart board. Note this pub doesn't serve food at the moment.
New to the area so popped in to have a quick drink and introduce ourselves as would be our future local pub. Had a warm welcome and landlady welcomed us to the area. Garden is great for kids which is very rare these days and also enough space for adults who don't have or don't bring children to not feel overwhelmed by children making noise etc. Locals were very friendly. Love that you are welcomed to bring your own food also. Great little find!
