Great hotel, the owner and his family are so friendly and helpful and willing to help. Having been before we recently visited for a one night stay just to get one of the many choices of breakfast.
To put it simply ... a fantastic hotel run by a family with lots of interest in their customers. Clean rooms and great food make for an easy stay. Popular with the touring motorbike groups where they can park safely in edge of the large beer garden. Little bar and a lounge area downstairs with a large dining area on the first floor for evening meals and breakfasts. With Moffat being a nice town and plenty of scenic routes in the area its easy to see why this books up quite quickly. Highly recommended.
Great people run the hotel, the SA food was awesome and I was lucky enough to get one of the new rooms which are fantastic. It is a bikers hotel and the garages are a godsend. Overall a great place to stay, biker or not. Great choice of beers too
Can't help but be impressed by the team here. I happened to stay here when my motorcycle got a flat tyre as I drove past. They helped me get it sorted, and had a room available (I wouldn't make my destination that day) Chance had it that it's a motorcyclist's dream hotel with secure storage, bike cleaning facilities and hearty food. 'bookmarked' for future use.
Sadly we were not able to get a room here as they were booked up but we got a room across the street and tried to head over for dinner and drinks. From the moment we walked in we were treated like guests with complete above and beyond service. The atmosphere at this hotel is so special, we had great chats with the owners and other guests. Dave even offered to send us a gpx file of the best motorcycle route to our next destination and it was perfect ☺️ oh and our dinner was phenomenal! I’m pretty positive it’ll be the best meal we had on our whole trip. Everyone who works there takes hospitality seriously and on a personal level and it shows. We will definitely be back and this time reserve well in advance to stay at The Buccleuch Hotel!
