Large venue; as we were only ones in on a Wednesday, limited atmosphere. Food good; typical pub fare. Friendly staff. Ran out of Purple Moose beer as we ordered it.
Great range of assorted gins and spirits, and menu that includes a selection of reliable pub classics as well as veggie, vegan and gluten free options. All the food was really good, the staff were really nice and the owner herself was there pitching in and waiting tables alongside the staff. Out of the meals we ordered, we would particularly recommend the fried brie starter, steak and burgers. Really lovely vibe, clearly a place where the staff are looked after and it shows in their service. The starter arrived quite quickly, the mains took a little longer but the atmosphere was so lovely we didn't really notice. The venue is cosy and warm, despite being big, and wasn't overly noisy either. The seating is comfy but a little firm, so those with back problems may want to bring a cushion to be extra comfortable. A really lovely place, look forward to going back with all the family!
What a fantastic find! The hearty food is superb, the range of drinks is opulent (Welsh ale is particularly delicious) and they open nice and early at 4pm! 🥳 Thanks guys for the wonderful restful eve, much needed after a long hike in Movember!

Lovely place and delicious carvery. Booked on Facebook for 9 people the night before and they managed to cater us all. We loved that dogs were allowed too. Carvery was so good and fresh. Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon.
