Brook House Inn offers you the opportunity to stay in hotel style bedrooms with ensuite baths in all rooms whilst having the convenience of a real Lake District pub with real ales and a fantastic malt whisky collection.
Our imaginative menu, including vegetarian options and scrumptious puddings, is complemented by blackboard specials and a varied wine list. Delicious home-made food is available all day. Dining in our restaurant, bar or snug is always a pleasure.
We serve real ales, treated on their journey from barrel to bar with tender loving care. These include Cumbria Legendary Ales Langdale, Hawkshead and a range of guest beers from Local Brewers such as Yates, Barngates and Ennerdale. We also have beers from many others brewers around the Country.Brook House Inn is one of the 3 hosts of the Boot Beer Festival, Boot Beer Festival is held in June every year and is one of the biggest beer festivals in the Lake District.
Stopped for lunch here! It was a pleasant surprise. Food quality and taste were top-notch. Amazing food. If there is an opportunity to come here, I will visit here for food again. Highly recommend.
Such a lovely place with a varied, interesting menu and many options for people whose diet can make it tricky to eat out. One of the most impressive aspects was the comprehensive list of allergens which made it possible to navigate the menu. The pub itself is in a glorious location in the heart of the Lake District at the end of the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway and we could hear the toot of the steam train in the background. The staff were delightfully helpful and the service was excellent. When the food came, we were all very impressed with what we'd chosen and are planning another visit to sample other dishes! All in all, a lovely trip out.
Stopped for lunch and we’re not disappointed. Lovely food, good range a beers, with excellent service. We look forward too our next visit. Doggy friendly bar. Unfortunately I can’t rate the rooms as we haven’t stayed there because they’re not able to accommodate dogs in the rooms.
After stopping at 4 different locations for food, we finally found one that sold traditional food with good portions at reasonable prices and cooked to perfection. Staff are friendly, polite, and a pleasure to be waited by. If ever I'm in this location again, I will make sure to call in again.
Fantastic location at the end of the steam railway. Beautiful views. Really helpful (especially with allergies) and friendly staff. Food was fantastic. Good portions. And the beef and ale pie was dairy free! Highly recommended!
