The Bridge is surely is the blue print for public houses who want to serve food. Soft red velvety lighting, good ale and superb food make this an enchanting place to visit.
There is a seperate dining area in here offering more tranquility away from the the busy bar area.
Went in on Saturday 18th November around 2pm. There was a stroppy looking young flustered lady and very tired looking frustrated young man with a half-goaty serving at the bar. I waited and waited (and still waited 😐) for the young man as he ignored me to serve his idea of the "usual clientele" (heil brexit Nigel) and after he finished serving them, he still decided to leave me standing as the only person waiting at the bar (waiting and waiting and waiting.....) and then he started cleaning up behind the bar in his usual half-lazy, half bothered manner (I'd been there so long I almost felt I knew him as my worst idea for knowing a person). I tried to boldly go where no other "usual" paying client had probably needed to go before and asked if I could possibly get a drink and he seemed emotional and upset and told me to wait. 😞 Fine. Okey..... eventually I got a pint and a prosecco for my wife. But what an odious toxic attitude by lazy manks! Meanwhile the young robust girl who had been ignoring me behind the bar went up to a couple of young guys who walked in and asked them if they wanted a drink. Staff perhaps a bit special? Who cares. I pay and want a pint so forget this place of moody staff.
Been here a few times over the years. Good traditional pub opened out to one large through room. Outside seating in the back yard. We were only customers on a wet afternoon. Two Taylor's beers on handpump. Landlord and Boltmaker. Albrech ordered Boltmaker. A good pint. The Madri was poor. A few customers started to roll in as evening drew in.
Great pub for after work drinks. Large function room up top which would easily hold 50. There's pretty much always someone on playing guitar. It's great for after work drinks in and around spinningfields.
Always have a great night here with the girls are first pub before we hit the clubs a really great place every onefriendly and great staff get yourself down there for a dance with great music from the 70s right through till the updated love it here
Good pub and nice layout, pool table upstairs as well as a dart board. It also features a nice little smoking terrace upstairs. Connor, the bartender is a very nice and friendly guy. Reasonably priced drinks too. Definitely worth a visit. Plays good music which is also much appreciated. One of my go to pubs in the city centre.
