A central bar divides this traditional two roomed pub with a beer garden backing onto the river Derwent. Quirky decorations include bank notes and antique fire fighting equipment.
Staying in Curbar for several days between Xmas/NY, popped in for a pint on boxing day and booked a table for dinner for Friday night. Really good atmosphere and everyone was really friendly. The food was excellent and we couldn't fault the service at all. Certainly will be going back next time we're in the area.
Amazing refurbishment, very bright and spacious. Food was excellent, highly recommend the pies.
28 of us had Christmas lunch. The food was deliciously hot and beautifully cooked. The service was attentive and friendly as many of us are elderly. A great pre Christmas experience. Thank You.
First visit today to walk the dog around this beautiful area. We popped into the Bridge for lunch. What a lovely atmosphere. The fire was welcoming and there were lovely friendly staff to greet us. Great music playing set the scene. We ordered the brisket burger and both of us said it was the best we have eaten in a long time. Good value, prompt service, and good facilities. Highly recommended and we will be back in the future. Thank you.
Stopped in for drinks after a walk up to Calver Weir with the dogs. Lovely dog friendly pub with friendly and helpful staff. Pint of Estrella and a pint of Level Head IPA was £10.20, reasonable price for a such a lovely area with lots of walks. Will be back to try the food one day.
