Welcome to The Bricklayer’s Arms, an independent, family-run freehouse in Putney. As a family, we feel very proud to have been the custodians of this fine, historic alehouse since 2001.
We strive to continue the pub’s tradition by serving a choice of twelve real ales. Seven of our hand pulls are dedicated to the full range of exquisite Timothy Taylor beers. We are the only pub in London to offer this choice. We rotate beers on the remaining five hand pulls in order to showcase local craft breweries: brewers that we know personally and that we know brew with passion.
We don’t do food and we don’t serve coffee. We are a proper pub and we hope to keep that tradition alive. There aren’t many of us left, particularly in London.
We hope you will come to see us soon, settle down by the fire, get to know your neighbours, enjoy the jokes that fly round the bar and strike up conversation with friends, old and new. There’s nothing quite like The Brick.

Not long got back from having a amazing meal .food is excellent very delicious. service fantastic staff very friendly. Highly recommend will definitely be returning 👌 Thank you to all the wonderful staff 😀
Just how pubs should be. Nearly tucked away on a side street near the river and having not been here in years the Bricklayers didn’t disappoint. There’s a vast range of cask ales on offer and plenty of keg too. The staff were very friendly and quick to line up the drinks. You can’t knock any pub that has Tayto crisps either. Prices are much more affable than the majority of pubs in Putney. It was great to find a non generic pub with a good crowd, decent music and excellent beer. It will be top of my list when next in the area.
Hidden from the usual tourist crowd this excellent little pub has a decent selection of real ales and a cozy open fire in winter.
Beautiful and cosy atmosphere in here:) friendly and smiley man has served me today:) never seen my favourite monster crisps in pubs . Definitely will come back 😀
Really lovely & knowledgeable staff and a wonderful selection of craft beers. This is one of my favourite spots in the area. I’ve never been disappointed with the stuff or craft beer selection. 🙏🏻👊🏻 Keep up the good work🍺
