When Charlie met Josephine he decided to give up his sea fairing career and settle on dry land to take her hand in marriage. Josephine is the unsung hero of our story and the love of Charles life. With Josephine by his side, the wind was in his sails and a family business of brewing was firmly anchored in Bedford.
Welcome to The Taproom, the perfect place for a gathering. Our bar has a constantly changing supply of beers fresh from the brewery which is located under the same roof. From classic to contemporary ales, experimental kegged beers and everything in between. We’ve got exactly what you need whether you’re a beer connoisseur or a weekend warrior.
The Taproom Beer Garden has plenty of outdoor seating, perfect whatever the weather. Get together to enjoy our weekly events from comedy nights to open mic, sports to movie nights.

Went for the beer but the food is just is good! Buttermilk Chicken burger was awesome and multiple taster flights (selection of 3 small beers) helped wash it down. Staff were really friendly and engaging & the atmosphere was great. Definitely coming back.
From the first moment we walked it we were blown away! Brewpoint did not disappoint! Huge space for brinks and food, amazing use of the space right next to a working brewery. Perfect for large gatherings but a few quieter corners for more intimate nights. The beer selection was top notch, the staff were welcoming and knowledgeable, the food looked super and they are dog friendly! 100% returning!
Food was really tasty and good, however my dad had to wait over 40 minutes for his pizza and the rest of us had finished our mains and the staff didn’t so much as apologise or mention that it would be late out. Spoke to the manager and he didn’t seem bothered either! Just ruined the evening slightly as we didn’t get to eat together!
Popped in for a quick lunch on a Monday as it was just about the only place open for food in the local area... Ordering on the phone is simple.. drinks came sharply followed by a couple of pizzas on the Monday 2 for 1 deal... Amazing pizzas... Great environment.. and dog friendly.. so next time we can take the small hairy companion...!!
Food was great, staff really welcoming and attentive. We ordered food and was offered a box to take home our garlic bread at the end of our meal. Would definitely recommend. You must get the Frickles, they are delicious.
