The Spitting Feathers brewery was established in 2005 and has rapidly gained a reputation throughout the North West for brewing quality ales, having won several awards during the time since the brewery started.
At Spitting Feathers’ Brewery Tap our aim is to bring you the best in good, honest food and drink – you might call it “real ale and real food”.
Free from colourings, flavourings and other artificial additives, Spitting Feathers award-winning beers are made only from the finest barley malts, wheat, yeast, hops and water. In the same way all the food at The Tap is freshly prepared from the best seasonal ingredients, sourced wherever possible, from local growers and suppliers including:
Bread from Born and Bread, Wirral
Vegetables from Francis Thomas, Chester
Locally reared meats – Dave Joinson Butchers, Chester Market.
Ice-cream – Cheshire Farm Ice-Cream, Tattenhall.
Meat, salad, vegetables, fruit and honey from the Spitting Feathers farm and brewery in Waverton, Chester, are all used including pork from our rare-breed pigs and our own range of homemade relishes, chutneys, condiments and preserves.
