A glimmering craft beer oasis in the heart of the city's historic Old Town
Reclaiming and revitalising what once was a lager-soaked karaoke den, the bar transcended its previous guise via the medium of reclaimed furniture, exposed brickwork and plenty of stainless steel.
Although perfectly at home alongside the smattering of grimy rock bars in the Cowgate, BrewDog Edinburgh still manages to set itself apart as a craft beer alternative in a mainstream jungle. And it also majors in the best damn homemade pizzas in Auld Reekie.
Popped in for a pizza and a few beers prior to a gig round the corner. Found a great seat, great atmosphere & staff friendly. Bar wasn't full but we were told we would have to wait around half an hour for pizza - no problem with us. My pizza crust was burnt but tasted good. Beer great as always. However I have to rate the cleanliness of the toilets as a zero. I used the accessible toilet in the bar and it was Disgusting!! It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days - a thick layer of dirt on the sink, the toilet seat was broken, very dirty stained toilet - yuk..& the hand drier wasn't working & no paper towels instead. Just not up to standard Brew Dog!
got plenty of TVs to watch sports, plenty of drink choices and friendly customer services, however the price is a little crazy.... £18 for those wings to "share" you see my adult hands to scale with a tiny coleslaw in a mug. take it as you want but expensive for me
Always a fan of BrewDog but really enjoyed this one. Service was great, beer as per usual was on point. We enjoyed the terrace here which has plenty of seating, especially for our group of 9. As with BrewDogs other establishments this one was dog friendly with a great little ‘K9 Hydration Station’ area! Nice to keep our pooches as refreshed as us.
We had 6pizzas - however 2 delivered every 10minutes or so. Fortunately this worked for us we were 6 at a small table& we shared the pizzas that arrived so everyone tasted every pizza. So our only issue was space on the table for 2pizzas and 4glights of beer and a bottle of wine. Staff were great and we had a great evening.
It all started well. I was so happy to go there as I’m a big fan of their beers. Got there at 2.30pm, ordered beers and pizza for my dad and I. 45 minutes afterwards we still hadn’t got the pizzas. Went to ask the waitress about them and realized then that nothing had been actioned, the order had not been processed at all. She gave me the reason that she had been very busy - which really surprised me as the bar was pretty empty, only a couple of tables were taken. When I showed that I was surprised by her answer she said that I was rude and that she will just cancel my order and that my dad and I should go… I was so shocked by her answer. She just ruined all my experience. We left, it was 3.30pm, without having had any food (she still charged me for the beers though). The behavior of this waitress was just not acceptable. She was very rude. She should just have apologized and order the pizzas. Really really disappointing. For this reason I will not go to this bar anymore and this clearly harmed the image that I initially had of this great beer brand. Shame…
