If you like a feeling of authentic then this is your place... assuming you mean authentic from the 60's or 70's. Genuinely felt uncomfortable, initially ignored and then stared at....fair to say have not been born into 10 generations of locals we were defo seen as outsiders

On the subcrawl and therefore as well as locals it probably attracts various other punters. Friendly service but really needs modernisation - outside is particularly poor and looks as if the pub closed some years ago. Cash only.
Friendly. No food served, but we were allowed to carry in from the bakery down the street. Quite convenient and a very adequate pub although no bitter.
