After a visit to the Silverstone museum a much needed pint and some food was the order of the day. Popped into this place and was greeted with a friendly smile. A very relaxing drink was had with a special request of a Ham salad sandwich NO ONIONS. Myself and the lady behind the bar had a chuckle about my over insistence on NO ONIONS. Would highly recommend especially for solo travellers as I was made to feel so welcome. Thank you 🧡
I’ve just moved to the area and love local old traditional pubs but I’ve now been to this pub 3 times and every time I have been served by the short lady with glasses and obviously she’s been here some time as some locals / regulars have told me . She’s quite rude and her customer service skills are amiss with no pride or passion in her service at all , I have been a Publican running high end and gastro pubs for 36 years. I have operated huge sites all types of pubs/ locals/ style bars / clubs / hotels …. There is one thing I’ve trained my team to deliver … exceptional customer service . This lady needs urgent training as she’s rude and in regards to dog friendly she’s not ( didn’t get the dog water after asking twice ) Food was ok and I was served by another lady last night when I visited who was pleasant and had good customer skills … Marston’s Locals need to step up as the high street has to many other pubs etc to take your business !! Look after your locals and visitors or lose them. Train in #prideandpassion #guestserviceculture
Never been before but you could tell straight away that it was obviously a popular pub with the local community as the atmosphere was so warm and friendly. The staff were fantastic, being super attentive and quick to serve, so no complaints there either. What let it down for us was the food, which was (sadly) terrible. Maybe it was an off day, but the quality was awful and the portions small. We were told by a local afterwards that this was one of the better places to eat in Towcester so it seems we could have ended up a lot worse!
Lovely place to go for a drink. Can't comment on food we didn't eat there but I can say what lovely people. Customers and staff make a great environment . Will be back. Dogs also welcome if we'll behaved.
Really lovely pub , from the minute we walked in it was welcoming, friendly and the lady behind the till who served us was really welcoming, we had food here which came out pretty quick and was well cooked. Definitely recommend this to anyone who likes us like a nice quiet pub to chill. Would definitely come back here if we ever pass Towcester again
