Called in on a Sunday afternoon for a coffee. The place is tastefully decorated and very clean (including the toilets). ALL of the staff were friendly, helpful and "smiley"! The coffee was strong and hot and served in decent sized cups. Another bonus (for us) is that the place is dog friendly and has a dog station with water bowls and free doggy treats. Although we didn't eat on this occasion, we looked at the menu and the prices appeared decent with around £13.00 for a main course. Based on this visit, we will call in again and maybe have some lunch. Thank you for making our visit memorable.
A quirky bar/restaurant in a lovely location by Albert Dock Food was good and our waiter was really friendly. The restaurant is dog friendly and there are lots of different sitting and eating options (couches, tables etc).
Updated review. Had a burger here this evening, undercooked and very pink. Sent back and head chef agreed it was undercooked... Refund issued for food and my drink due to this. On speaking to the bar manager, he assured me this burger was cooked for the correct amount of time and probed for temperature (this burger was not hot throughout), stating the burger was cooked correctly. My argument being how can you have cooked this properly If an undercooked burger was served to a customer. I've eaten here on and off for a period of six months living locally, I only ever eat the burgers!! , great cosy little place and food usually good. However this time around I was surprised to have been served a very very pink burger. I'm now sat at home, a little worried..... having suffered food poisoning a couple of years ago, which caused a severe reaction! Something I'm very serious to avoid again. Sadly, I've decided that I will no longer eat here again after the experience based on the fact that the food is being "correctly cooked" but served undercooked. Why should I be checking my food, having put my trust in professional cooks who are trained and tasked to cook food properly and SAFELY.. Which on this occasion, was not the case. If you're not checking this food before it leaves the kitchen, then what are you doing?If you're going to offer a properly cooked rare, medium or well done burger to customers you need to be asking them which they prefer. Brasco Lounge is part of a wider chain but does manage to have a local feel. Perfect place for a quick bite to eat or lunch. Had the Chicken Flatbread and a portion of chips. Delicious flatbread, especially at this price. However, the size of the chips for over £2 was a bit of a joke. I would definitely expect a larger portion. People I was with had problems with the WiFi, and the music/decor were both a bit too loud for my tastes. Garlic flatbread was also a disappointment, seemingly covered in Red Leicester other than Mozzarella. Would recommend if you're in a hurry but there's better places in the area for better value. £14 for a large breakfast is a bit steep
The service was friendly and staff were helpful in sitting us quickly and explained the ordering system. The menu is quite vast with so many items you can choose from from Asia to Europe… the food did not taste very fresh and did not have any exceptional quality, but fine to eat if you are stuck with options for lunch in the area.
