With our top-notch pub food, outstanding range of speciality drinks, our large west facing front garden and relaxing family-friendly atmosphere, you'll realise we don't do things by halves!

We love our beer here at The Brandling Arms in Gosforth. You'll find a carefully curated range on tap and in bottle - from real ales made by small local brewers to innovative craft beers from the masters and well-known lagers and pilsners from around the globe.

To keep things interesting, we change our seasonal draught range throughout the year and regularly rotate our cask ales. We're fastidious about the selection and also the protection of our beers, and take great pride in earning the Cask Marque accreditation.

Our wines are also well chosen and - alongside a collection of specialist spirits from some of the world's finest artisan distilleries - there's something to satisfy even the most adventurous of thirsts.

As for our homemade house tipples, you'll have to sample them for yourself. Spice your own Bloody Marys to help kick-start your Sunday (or any day), warm up with a special-recipe mulled wine when it's chilly, and cool down with our refreshing soft-drinks in summer. Needless to say, all of our drinks wash down a treat with our seasonal pub-food menu.

The outside heaters weren’t working. There was no staff member that were could approach for this problem. The fish and chips showed minted in menu but they were normal. We had to swallow our food in a rush as it was getting cold much quickly due to no heaters. Calamari was served cold as well and the portions size for mulled cider was not even half a glass Unacceptable from branding arms, this was our first visit and probably last as well.

Staff were incredible - when I called to request a quiet table to help support my brother who has ASD and severe learning difficulties, the staff were so friendly and helpful and made an exceptional effort to accommodate us. Food and fab, and there was a great selection of drinks. We were incredibly grateful and had a lovely evening!

We had a lovely afternoon at Brandling Arms for my baby shower. The function room itself is situated upstairs and private from the main pub/restaurant. The buffet food was perfect, exactly what we'd hoped for and had many compliments from my friends. Kai serving us was very polite and helpful! It was lovely to have a member of staff purely allocated to us and a private bar (so not having to go downstairs to purchase drinks). We would not hesitate in using Brandling Arms again for a future event and would recommend it to our friends and family.

Pleasant gastropub in the heart of gosforth. Lovely sun trap on their terrace with easy to use app, efficient service and friendly staff. Food was good especially the crumble but not sure the high prices were merited in the quality

Spectacular Sunday roasts! Generous servings, absolutely delicious, beautifully presented. Went with my family, we had pork, beef and chicken roasts, all fab. Humongous Yorkshires! All staff were friendly and attentive, and shout-out to Chef Daz, stellar job mate! Wish I'd got a photo of my pork with that crackling on top, my partner got this shot of his half a chicken though!
